Spring
The Selway Wilderness offers some of the best Super Predator hunts. Hunt Black Bear, Mountain Lion, or Wolf.
Summer
Guided fishing trips, trail rides, backcountry camping, survival school, hunting school, or mule packing school.
Fall
Fall is time for hunting in the spectacular Idaho backcountry. Take your pick between Elk, Deer, or Bear.
Winter
Winter is time for snowshoeing, guided snowmobile adventures, and Super Predator hunts. Get outside!
Elk Hunting

Deer Hunting
This hunt is not for everyone. We hunt in the Selway Wilderness, Idaho’s Hunting Unit 17. This is extremely rugged country and you need to be in good shape. Weather this time of year is often demanding, but for those that like a challenge, you will enjoy spectacular country and a chance to take a once in a life time buck.
Bear Hunting
Our bears average over 50% color phase (blonde, brown, black and cinnamon) and hunters have an excellent opportunity to harvest the unique trophy of a lifetime. This is a great hunt for bow hunters and Jr. Hunters. Our bear hunts are offered in spring .
Who We Are
We would like to introduce you to our family. My family and I are originally from Texas. I am Gary Cameron and my wife is Sherri Cameron. We have been married for 27 years. We have four sons, Duke, Luke, Brute, and Oscar. We have three daughters-in-law and six grandkids. You’ll also notice Hary in some of our family photos. He is our 16 year old Capuchin monkey that is part of our family.
My family has always had a passion for the great outdoors. This has been passed down from several generations. We all have a lifetime of experience in various types of hunting and outdoor activities. Hunting is not work for us, it’s a lifestyle we thoroughly enjoy! Cameron Outfitters is a small operation where we take a personal interest in all our guests. We enjoy sharing the rugged beauty and abundant wildlife of the largest and most remote wilderness in the lower 48. Cameron Outfitters is a four season full-time operation. It’s our only job and we love it.
Even more than hunting the trophies ourselves, we love taking others on the hunt just to see the thrill and excitement in their eyes! We want you to enjoy all that this wilderness has to offer. We have exclusive guiding rights to more than 800 sq miles in the Selway-Bitterroot and Frank Church Wilderness’ in Idaho’s Hunting Unit 17. This is the perfect place for Idaho elk, deer, bear, and lion hunting.
From the upper reaches of our permitted area near Burnt Mountain, Idaho all the way to Parker Mountain in the south we have 25 authorized Idaho camps spread across the Bitterroot, Frank Church – River of No Return Wilderness areas. This is fantastic country and remote wilderness. The Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness is one of the largest protected wilderness areas in the United States – 3rd largest outside of the state of Alaska. One of the largest elk herds in the United States calls this wilderness home along with an amazing array of deer, bear, big horn sheep, wolves and other super predators.
