Trophy Deer Hunts

Hunt the rut

Trophy Idaho Deer Hunts in the Selway Wilderness

It’s late season and the bucks are in the rut. Idaho deer hunts in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness offer incredible opportunities to get your trophy buck. The biggest deer are typically nocturnal, but during this fall hunt they abandon their usual patterns to spend most of the day scenting and tracking does.  They don’t spend much time in one place and with their constant movement, spotting and stalking becomes much easier.

If you’ve grown tired of trying to draw in a trophy area, then this is the hunt for you.  No drawing. No lottery. No hassles. They do sell out, so book early! With your general deer tag, you can have your choice of either a mule deer or a white-tail deer.

Idaho deer hunts are not for everyone. We hunt in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, Idaho’s Hunting Unit 17.  This is extremely rugged country and you need to be in good shape.  Weather this time of year is often demanding, but for those that like a challenge, you will enjoy spectacular country and a chance to take a once in a life time buck.

To offset the tough country we have some of the most comfortable camps in the back country, and food that is phenomenal.

We provide experienced mountain horses and mules and the best guides in the business.  We have guaranteed tags, so just bring your hunting and personal gear and a spirit of adventure. Our crew will take care of you and the rest of your hunt.
